The free plan does the whole job for models in a few colours, in your browser or on the desktop. Pro is for full-colour work, separated parts and many plates. No subscription, no account: a one-time purchase with a year of updates, and the version you bought is yours to keep.

Pro and Commercial go on sale on 1 November 2026, together with signed desktop installers. The founder price lasts until 31 December 2026. Ask for one email and you will get it the day the checkout opens.

How the licence behaves.

A key, not an account
Pro is a licence key from your purchase email, pasted into the desktop app. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to sign in to, and the free plan never asks for a key at all.
Capability, never availability
Activating a key needs a connection once. After that the licence is checked on your machine, renews itself about once a month when it can reach the licence server, and keeps working offline for four months from the last renewal. If that runs out, the app still opens and runs the free plan, and the licence server will renew it for up to ninety days after it ran out. After that the key has to be activated again, which takes a free seat on it. No licence check can stop the app opening or lock a file you made.
Three machines, released by you
Deactivate a machine from the app and its seat is free for another one. Nothing has to be asked for.
Perpetual for what you bought
The twelve months buy updates, not access. When they end, the licence goes on renewing and the version you have keeps its Pro features. Your projects are yours in a documented format either way.

The rule that governs every number on this site

No counters, no countdowns.

There is no "places remaining" number on this site and there will not be one, because the only honest version of that number is queried from the payment provider — and if it is not, someone will eventually check.

The same rule governs every number here: it comes from a benchmark, a verified session or the product's own source, and the build fails on any digit that did not come from one. The docs page lists each one with what it means.

What the money pays for.

Signed installers, the download hosting, the licence server, and someone answering your email. Not permission to open your own work: the projects and exports you made, on any plan, stay readable whatever happens to a licence.

Questions.

Is it a subscription?

No. Pro and Commercial are one-time purchases. A year of updates is included; after that the version you have keeps every Pro feature for as long as you run it, and another year of updates is $19 if you want it.

Do I need an account, or an internet connection?

No account, ever. The free plan needs nothing at all. A Pro key is activated once online, then checked on your machine and works offline for months at a time. Your models are never uploaded: everything runs on your computer, in the browser version too.

Which slicers and printers does it work with?

Exports are 3MF files written for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer and its family (Creality Print, Anycubic Slicer Next, ElegooSlicer, Snapmaker Orca) and PrusaSlicer, with printer profiles for Bambu Lab, Prusa, Snapmaker, Creality, Anycubic and Elegoo machines. Every release is sliced by Bambu Studio V02.08.02.61, OrcaSlicer V2.4.2 and PrusaSlicer 2.9.6 before it ships.

Can it handle models from Meshy, Tripo or MakerWorld?

Yes. Open the textured GLB, glTF or OBJ and Tilas samples the texture, reduces it to the number of filaments you choose — or snaps it to the filaments you own — and merges the specks that would cost a colour change each. Draco-compressed files need re-exporting without compression first.

What does the browser version leave out?

The exact colour separation, which needs the desktop app’s native geometry engine; in the browser, Separate cuts on a fine grid instead and says so. Everything else — import, colour reduction, repair, paint, split, hollow and export — works in the browser.

When can I buy Pro?

On 1 November 2026, together with signed desktop installers for Windows, macOS and Linux. Ask for one email and you will get it the day it opens, at the founder price.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, within fourteen days of buying, for any reason. Write to hello@tilas.xyz.

Who owns the models I prepare?

Whoever owned them before. Tilas changes nothing about a model’s licence: a model you downloaded under a personal-use licence stays personal-use after you paint it, and selling prints of it needs the creator’s permission as well as Tilas Commercial.
